5 cups flour
125g butter or margarine
10 teaspoons baking powder
3 eggs beaten
pinch of salt
500ml milk
Rub butter\margarine into dry ingredients (look like bread crumbs).
Add egg (keep a little back to brush on top of scones).
Add milk and use a paddle scrapper to form soft dough.
Press onto a floured board and cut into desired shapes.
Brush the tops with egg and bake at 200 degrees Celcius for 20 minutes in a greased pan.
